What we collect
When you place an order with hue you give us three things: the photograph you upload, the email address you provide at checkout, and the payment record Stripe writes to your account. That’s the entire list. We do not collect location, browsing history, social media, or third-party identifiers.
What we do with each
Your photograph
Used once to produce your color reading and the portrait studies in your report. Stored encrypted in private storage. Never used to train AI models. Never shared with third parties outside the processors listed below.
Your email
Used to deliver your report and one transactional “your analysis is ready” message. We will never send you marketing email unless you separately opt in.
Your payment
Processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card; Stripe returns only a transaction record (amount, currency, success status) which we keep for accounting.
How long we keep things
Photograph
Thirty days from issuance, then deleted. Your report (the text, palette, share link) is retained until you ask us to remove it.
Retained for the lifetime of your account or until you request deletion.
Payment record
Retained as long as required by Stripe and applicable tax law (typically seven years).
Who we share with
We use a small number of processors, each scoped to a single technical job. None receive your photograph beyond what their role requires.
- Stripe — payment processing (cards, wallets, receipts). United States.
- Vercel — application hosting. United States.
- Supabase — encrypted photo and analysis storage. United States.
- Resend — transactional email delivery. United States.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not show ads.
Your rights
You can request a copy of every piece of data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it entirely, at any time. Email hello@huecolor.co with the email used for the order. Deletion is processed within 24 hours and confirmed in writing.
Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in if you create an account. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site identifiers.
Children
hue is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted a photograph, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we will email you and refresh the “last updated” date above before the change takes effect.
